This interview is with Roberto Hoyos who is the founder of Throwboy.
1.what is your fave colour?
I don't really have a favorite color but I guess I lean towards the earth tones like brown, dark orange. You can see this show up in the Throwboy.com look.
2.what is your fave animal?
Dog. But not those little 'handbag' dogs.
3.who is your celebrity crush?
Phoebe Cate from 1982
4.if you could be anyone in the world who would you be and why?
Probably my grandma. She seen so many things in history that I would have loved to have experienced.
5.what is your fave holiday destination?
I really love New York City. As long as it's not during the cold months :)
6, if you could live anywhere else in the world where would you live?
Either New York City or San Francisco. It would also be amazing to live in England for a few months out of the year.
7.how do you get inspiration to make the pillows?
I was dating a girl that was a Mac geek. And I'd always like to make things for her. Once I made an original Macintosh replica for her out of cardboard. But since a young age I knew how to sew. My grandma is a seamstress and taught me. So one day I got this weird idea to turn the Mac icons into little throw pillows for the girl i was dating. It took me about 4 months working on and off. But it turned out to be something her and the world really fell in love with!
8. what is your fave movie?
Oh man it's so hard to choose! I like a lot of different kinds of movies. But the ones I tend to rewatch are dumb ones like BASEketball and Clueless. I tend to quote movies like that a lot.
9. what do you like to do when you are not making pillows?
When the weather is nice I love going out to parks or walk around the city. Go on adventures. I also love to play music and sing. When I'm not working I really try to get away from the computer in general :)
